Tell us all about yourself!
“I live in Chagrin Falls with my husband and two children, my dog and a recently acquired horse named Fletcher! My daughter goes to Ohio University, and my son will be graduating from Gilmour in the Spring. In my “retirement” from my previous career, I have been coaching some local high school tennis teams for the past four years and it has been extremely rewarding and fun.”
“When we moved to Chagrin Falls 18 years ago, we joined the Wembley Club. I had just had a baby, and I will never forget the kindness that the ladies in the fitness classes extended to me. There was something different at the gym. We used to spin and do step class and just talk the entire time. Those OG fitness ladies are still in those classes, rocking it. They look the same and are insanely fit!”
Why Wembley?
“There is a warmth at the Wembley Club in fitness and tennis that is unique. We have had so much fun over the years, celebrating birthdays, holidays, GNO tennis parties with my friends, such great memories. I love the Wembley club and the people there, they are like family to me. It is not just a tennis club or a gym, it’s a community and I am happy to be a part of it!”

FUN FACT(S)
I am a Cleveland Westside native, and I happily settled in Chagrin Falls after I got married. I am an avid runner and fitness enthusiast, and you’ll often find me walking or running through town. My most recent personal accomplishment is achieving my doctorate in Educational and Teacher Leadership. As a teacher at Chagrin Falls Intermediate School, I hope to grow professionally and discover leadership opportunities that help other teachers find leadership areas in education beyond the classroom.
My biggest role is as a mom! I have 6 children: 5 sons and 1 daughter, and they are my whole world! My kids are ages 25 down to 15. Two of my boys live in San Francisco, one is in Austin, one is in his final year at WashU St. Louis, and one just started at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). My daughter is in 10th grade and busy, committed to a national competitive cheer team, and works at a local gym/cheer studio. My household is pretty much like a frat house when everyone is home, full of banter and sarcasm, family NY crossword puzzles, and board games like Catan. We are a super close family and this past summer was our first annual family vacation, guaranteeing a time for all of us to be together. We started in Zion, and it was unforgettable!
My family has been a part of Wembley for decades. I was the mom with the half a dozen children who hogged two umbrellas and always had at least 2 extra friends in tow, and we stayed at the pool ALL DAY. My family has watched Wembley grow over the years with incredible renovations, additions, and expansive programming. I was an instructor WAY back, teaching sculpt, barre, and spinning, and I am so happy to be back teaching Pilates.
You can find Caroline at Wembley teaching Reformer Pilates classes in the evening during the week & mornings on the weekend!

Create a Calming Evening Routine
As the days get shorter, use the change of season to reset your nighttime routine. Try putting your phone away earlier, dimming the lights, stretching, or reading before bed to help your body wind down.
Give Your Mind a Fall Refresh
October is a great time to declutter more than your space. Set aside a few minutes each week to organize your schedule, write down priorities, or clear out tasks that are creating unnecessary stress.

Three Simple Ways to Meditate – Vishali Gupta
Sometimes, the moment we sit down to meditate, the mind seems to get louder. Thoughts wander, the body feels restless, and suddenly sitting still feels like the hardest thing in the world. But meditation doesn’t have to mean emptying the mind or sitting perfectly still. Sometimes, it simply means giving your attention somewhere to rest. Here are three of my favorite ways to meditate.
1. Body Scan
Bring your awareness to your body and slowly move your attention from head to toes. Notice each part—the top of the head, forehead, jaw, shoulders, neck, hands, belly, legs, and feet. If you like, you can add your breath and imagine tension leaving your body each time you bring your awareness to a different body part. It is such a simple practice. For me, it calms the restlessness of both the body and the mind.
2. Visualization
This is one of my favorites when I am feeling a bit low. Instead of trying to empty my mind of thoughts—which rarely works—I give it something to focus on. It might be sitting by the ocean, walking through the bazaar near my childhood home, or sometimes simply visualizing light moving through my spine. It works like magic. It illuminates my mind and helps me feel lighter and brighter.
3. The Pause Between Breaths
This is a surprisingly simple practice. Instead of focusing on the breath itself, bring your attention to the small pause between the inhale and the exhale. The breath naturally pauses for a moment before changing direction. See if you can notice that little moment of stillness without trying to hold the breath. In that space, there is nothing to do and nowhere to go. Just a moment of stillness. Sometimes, the mind becomes wonderfully quiet. Whatever you choose, the best meditation is the one you will actually do. Start with just a minute. And remember that a restless or wandering mind is part of the practice. It is not a sign that you are doing it wrong or failing. The practice is simply to notice, and gently come back.

Eat with the Season
Apples: A classic fall fruit packed with fiber and vitamin C. Enjoy them sliced with nut butter, added to oatmeal, or baked with cinnamon.
Pumpkin: More than just a fall decoration! Pumpkin provides vitamin A and can be added to soups, smoothies, oatmeal, muffins, and other seasonal recipes.
Sweet Potatoes: Early harvests start now. They are rich in vitamin A, iron, and anti-inflammatory compounds.
Pears: Sweet, juicy, and perfect for fall. Pears provide fiber and work well on their own, in salads, or paired with yogurt and cinnamon.
