Member Spotlight – Meet the Ryan Family
Tell us all about your family!
What about Wembley?
While family always comes first, Wembley has been a special part of Colleen’s life since Declan was just weeks old. It has become a place where she can focus on her own passion for fitness while creating fun, challenging workouts and building lasting friendships with members. Those connections—both inside and outside the club—have become one of the greatest blessings of her time at Wembley.
Her creativity extends far beyond teaching. Whether she’s reorganizing studios, building equipment, decorating for Christmas Yoga, or tackling another project with her trusty toolbox, Colleen loves bringing new ideas to life and creating spaces that inspire others.
While Colleen juggles family life, home projects, and Wembley, Phil keeps the family grounded through his work at Cohen & Co. He’s the dependable force behind the scenes, always willing to help—whether hauling horse trailers, planning family adventures, or doing whatever needs to be done.
At the heart of the Ryan family is a commitment to making others feel welcomed and valued. Through Wembley’s Power Ups program, Colleen has enjoyed involving her children in encouraging participants. Inspired in part by Phil’s youngest sister, who has Down syndrome, the Ryans believe everyone deserves to feel celebrated, included, and supported, and they strive to live that out through service and everyday acts of kindness.
Staff Spotlight – Danielle Reed
Group (Yoga) Fitness Instructor
FUN FACT(S)
Danielle lives in Chagrin Falls with her husband, Dieken, and their two daughters. She started practicing yoga over 15 years ago to cross-train for distance running after developing an overuse injury. Yoga was a new challenge and test of patience, but the dynamic flow of poses offered the variety she needed to build strength and flexibility. As she practiced more regularly, she felt better equipped to handle the daily stressors of raising a family and working full-time in real estate finance.
HER EXERCISES
Danielle is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and completed her training in 2024 at Chagrin Yoga. She focuses on power vinyasa and slow flow yoga. Her classes aim to guide students to tune in to their bodies, modifying or adding poses to meet their energy level and physical capabilities that day. She likes to call for slow transitions and hold poses for a few breaths to allow time to settle into the posture.
You can find Danielle teaching Power Vinyasa Flow here at Wembley. Strong minds, great workout, amazing feeling!

Wellness Tools – A Meditation Letter for Wembley

IN STILLNESS WE ARRIVE
In yoga, we are reminded that balance is found not only in movement, but also in stillness.
Yet much of our lives are spent rushing from one task to the next, rarely allowing ourselves time to simply be.
Sit comfortably and invite yourself to be still.
Silence all speech.
Allow your awareness to descend into the space of the body.
Feel the rhythm of your breath, rising and falling in your belly.
Notice all tactile sensations the breath brings forth.
There is nowhere to go and nothing to accomplish at this moment.
Let go of all goals.
Allow all worries to slide off your mind like raindrops sliding from wet leaves.
Notice the places where you may be holding tension.
There is no need to change anything. Simply allow yourself to soften.
Relax the jaw and soften shoulders.
Rest in the simplicity of being here. With each breath, allow yourself to slow down a little more.
Witness the mind becoming quiet.
Allow the body to become heavy.
Allow yourself to arrive fully in this moment.
Take a long slow deep breath in.
And exhale slowly.
When you are ready, gently open your eyes, carrying this sense of stillness with you.
